Creative Dreaming

Dreaming is an important part of creating. When you consistently visualise or imagine something you want, you strengthen your neural pathways. What fires together wires together, and given the brain can't tell the difference between real or imagined, it's important to place your attention on the right things.

Dreaming is really a focused visualisation exercise that can involve either your conscious AND subconscious mind. For instance, Andre Agassi dreamt of winning Wimbledon since he was a child. When he actually won the tournament it felt like Deju Vu to him. He was that connected to his dream.

Yet many people don't know what they want. Their dreams aren't yet fully conscious. How can you dream of something you don't know or only half know? This is where imagination and intuition come into play. By allowing yourself to 'imagine' what you really want, you give your intuition the go-ahead to connect with those deeper parts of a dream that are not yet fully conscious. It's a bit like diving into mystery. You are stepping into the unknown and discovering things you had never considered.

Given the enormous changes in our world you have probably spent time reflecting on what's really important to you. I urge you not to turn this time in your life into something you will regret later. Instead, take the bull by the horns and dream of a reality and life you want, and take the action to make it happen. If you're staring at a blank canvas, splash away and fill it with everything that lights you up. Dreams DO and can happen.
